Public Defender Levan Ioseliani visited the Lilo homeless shelter, which is under the jurisdiction of the Tbilisi Municipal Shelter NNLE. He met with the staff of the institution, representatives of the administration and beneficiaries of the shelter.

The Public Defender viewed the territory and infrastructure of the shelter, showed interest in the services provided to the beneficiaries of the institution and the challenges existing in the shelter.

The Public Defender’s Office actively studies the rights situation of homeless persons in the country. Inter alia, the Office monitors the social housing in the country, receives information about the situation in the facilities and issues relevant recommendations, which are then reflected in the annual parliamentary reports of the Public Defender.
