On March 12, 2024, Deputy Public Defender of Georgia Irine Chikhladze met with representatives of the European Union Monitoring Mission in Georgia.

Irine Chikhladze introduced the mandate of the Public Defender's Office, the priority areas and work specifics of the regional offices to Field Office Mtskheta Monitors Philippe Deprez (Belgium) and Paul Jensen Mauboe (Denmark).

The state of protection of human rights, especially the protection of women's rights, and the daily threats faced by women living near the occupation border were also discussed at the meeting.
