On May 30, 2024, Levan Ioseliani, Public Defender of Georgia, met with Etibar Eminov, Mufti of Eastern Georgia of the Administration of All Muslims of Georgia, and Sheikh Taig Nabiev.

At the introductory meeting, the conversation touched upon the tolerant environment in Georgia and the activities of the Public Defender aimed at establishing the tolerant culture in the country, as well as the issue of Muslim religious buildings and the importance of the strengthening of state support.

The parties also talked about the issue of deepening the cooperation between the religious organizations operating in Georgia and the role of the Public Defender in this direction.
