On June 17, 2021, during a meeting between Nino Lomjaria, Public Defender of Georgia, and Bishop Jacob, Archbishop of Bodbe and Head of the Ninotsminda Orphanage, the current situation in the orphanage and future visions were discussed.

After the meeting, the Public Defender noted that under their agreement, social workers will work intensively to assess the needs of the children remaining in the orphanage. The Public Defender will monitor this process and hopes that in the best interests of these children, they will be transferred to appropriate places in a timely manner.
