Public Defender Meets with Spanish Parliamentary Delegation

Nino Lomjaria, Public Defender of Georgia, and Giorgi Burjanadze, Deputy Public Defender of Georgia, met with the Spanish parliamentary delegation. Integration with the European Union and the 12-point plan were the main topics of discussion with Pau Marí Klose, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Congress of Spain, and members of the delegation.

The parliamentary delegation showed interest in the vision of the Public Defender in the implementation of the points outlined in the plan. Additionally, the Public Defender drew attention to the importance of granting candidate status for the democratic development of Georgia and the negative consequences that may follow the rejection of the status by the European Union.

Nino Lomjaria thanked the members of the Spanish delegation for their support and interest in the mentioned issue.
