On June 21, 2023, Tamar Gvaramadze, First Deputy Public Defender of Georgia, met with Sven Giegold, State Secretary of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action of the Federal Republic of Germany, and Frau Franziska Alarich, Adviser on Georgian Issues at the Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action of the Federal Republic of Germany.

The parties talked about the current situation of human rights in Georgia, challenges faced by minorities, socio-economic rights and the issue of hate speech.

Tamar Gvaramadze also introduced the mandate and priorities of the Public Defender's Office to the guests.
