Public Defender Visits Victims of Police Violence at Clinic

On December 3, 2024, the Public Defender of Georgia, Levan Ioseliani, went to the Ingorokva University Clinic and visited the victims of the police operation carried out to crack down on a rally.

According to the Public Defender, the citizens mainly have head injuries.

The Public Defender once again calls on the Ministry of Internal Affairs to stop using violent methods of detention and act only within the framework of the law. In addition, the Special Investigation Service should conduct a timely and effective investigation in order to identify those suspected of violence and inhuman treatment and to hold them responsibile.
