On September 15, 2021, Public Defender Nino Lomjaria met with Albert Johnson, Head of the OSCE/ODIHR Election Observation Mission.

The violations detected during the pre-election period, cases of pressure on opposition parties, alleged cases of dismissal on political grounds and ineffective response by the law enforcement agencies were the topics of dicusssion at the meeting.

The Public Defender thanked the OSCE/ODIHR EOM for participating as an observer in the 2021 local elections; She also briefed Albert Johnson on the Public Defender’s mandate and expressed her readiness to provide information to the Election Observation Mission on the election issues.
