The media has reported on the death of a prisoner at the VivaMedi clinic. Due to high public interest, we would like to inform you that the Public Defender's Office has already applied to the relevant responsible agencies to request information and is responding to the case within the framework of the powers granted to it by law.

As is known to the Office, the prisoner's family members indicate that the Penitentiary Service informed them of the prisoner's hospitalization with a delay. The Public Defender's Office will study this issue as well.
