On January 15, 2024, Levan Ioseliani, Public Defender of Georgia, met with Jesper Moller, newly appointed Representative of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Georgia.

The Public Defender introduced the mandate of the Public Defender’s Office to the guest and reviewed the problems relating to the protection of children's rights in the country, including early marriage and protection of the rights of children living near the occupation line. The parties also talked about the study prepared by the Public Defender’s Office on children's access to justice.

At the introductory meeting, the parties expressed their willingness to deepen cooperation.
