On August 5, 2025, Public Defender of Georgia Levan Ioseliani met with British Ambassador to Georgia Gareth Ward.

The situation of human rights, recent challenges, and the role and activities of the Public Defender to overcome the challenges were discussed at the meeting. Special attention was paid to the status of implementation of the recommendations reflected in the Public Defender's annual parliamentary reports.

The British Ambassador expressed support for the Public Defender's Office of Georgia. The parties agreed to continue further cooperation.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Public Defender Elene Gudushauri and British Embassy’s political cunselor Alexandra Sheppard.
