Levan Ioseliani, Public Defender of Georgia, met with Kaori Ishikawa,UN WomenCountryRepresentativetoGeorgia.

The topics of discussion at the meeting included issues of gender equality, women's economic and rights situation in Georgia. Special attention was paid to the issue of femicide. The Public Defender emphasized the activity of the Office in the direction of prevention of gender-based killings of women.

The meeting also touched upon the strengthening of partnership between organizations and close cooperation to improve the rights situation of women.
