Round Table on Protection of Human Rights and Freedoms in Georgia

On June 6, 2022, the Public Defender’s Office, the Executive Board of the National Association of Local Self-Governments of Georgia and high officials from thirteen municipalities held a round table.

The recommendations made to the local self-governments in the 2021 Parliamentary Report on the Situation of Human Rights and Freedoms, as well as the measures needed to improve mechanisms for identifying and addressing local human rights challenges were discussed the meeting.

The meeting was aimed at strengthening multilevel cooperation and dialogue for the protection of human rights.

The event was organized by the National Association of Local Self-Governments of Georgia and the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe.
