On April 26, 2023, the Public Defender of Georgia met the Ambassador of Switzerland to Georgia, Heidi Grau.

The parties discussed the human rights situation in the country, especially emphasizing the human rights and security challenges in the occupied territories. Levan Iioseliani introduced the mandate of the Public Defender and the future priorities of the Office to the Ambassador. They also talked about the importance of independence and impartiality of the institution.

At the introductory meeting, the Ambassador congratulated Levan Iioseliani on his election to the position of Public Defender and wished him success.
