On April 5, 2023, Levan Ioseliani, Public Defender of Georgia, met with Helene Sand Andresen, Ambassador of Norway to Georgia.

The meeting was of an introductory nature. The Ambassador congratulated the Public Defender on his election to the position and expressed hope for deepening cooperation.

The parties briefly discussed the situation of human rights in the country, the activities and priorities of the Public Defender’s Office, the rights situation of minorities and the role of the Public Defender's institution in the process of Georgia's integration with the European Union.
