On October 27, 2023, Public Defender Levan Ioseliani met with Steffen Elgersma, a representative of the NATO Political Affairs and Security Policy Division.

The Public Defender introduced the mandate and main priorities of the Office to the guest. They also reviewed the state of human rights protection in the country, existing challenges and the role of the Public Defender in the process of solving the challenges.

Steffen Elgersma is visiting Georgia within the framework of consultations relating to the evaluation of Georgia’s 2023 Annual National Programme by NATO.
