Public Defender of Georgia to Hold Official Meetings in Strasbourg

On June 26-29, 2024, Levan Ioseliani, Public Defender of Georgia, will hold meetings with Marija Pejčinović Burić, Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Michael O'Flaherty, Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights, Veronika Bílková, Vice-President of the Venice Commission, and high-ranking officials of other international organizations as part of his official visit to Strasbourg (France).

The Public Defender will review the situation of human rights in Georgia and the process of fulfilling the obligations undertaken in connection with the EU candidate country status.
