Public Defender of Georgia Arrives in U.S. for Official Visit
Public Defender Nino Lomjaria is paying an official visit to the United States of America from November 29 to December 3, where she will hold meetings at the U.S. Department of State, Congress and Senate. Meetings are also scheduled with representatives of the International Republican Institute (IRI), National Endowment for Democracy (NED), Freedom House and United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
Within the framework of her mandate, the Public Defender will review the human rights situation and democratic processes of Georgia at the high-level meetings in the United States of America.
