On June 10, 2024, Public Defender Levan Ioseliani visited the unit of Penitentiary Establishment No. 8 (the so-called Matrosov prison).

The Public Defender inspected the facility's infrastructure, common and living spaces, prisoners' walking rooms, de-escalation cells, shop, kitchen and showers.

The Public Defender and the Public Defender’s Office continue to supervise the protection of the rights of the convicted persons and defendants.
