Public Seminar on Prevention of Torture and Ill-Treatment in Penitentiary Establishments
On June 8, 2023, the Deputies of the Head of the Department of National Preventive Mechanism of the Public Defender of Georgia, Akaki Kukhaleishvili and Daniel Mgeliashvili, met with students of the Faculty of Law of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.
At the meeting, the representatives of the Public Defender’s Office of Georgia talked about the 2022 report of the National Preventive Mechanism, protection of human rights and challenges in penitentiary establishments.
