On May 31, 2025, Ketevan Sokhadze, Head of the Children's Rights Department of the Public Defender's Office of Georgia, participated in an event organized by the Ministry of Justice and Civil Integration of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia on the occasion of the World Children's Day.

The goal of the event was to raise awareness of children's rights in order to promote the civil integration of temporarily displaced youth.

The participants discussed the importance of children's rights and the main challenges in this direction, and made thematic presentations.

In her speech, the representative of the Public Defender spoke about the activities of the Public Defender in the field of children's rights, focusing on equality, the right to life and development, protection of the best interests of the child and the right to express his/her opinion.
