On November 1, 2023, the Public Defender addressed the Minister of Education and Science with a proposal to correct the deficiencies identified as a result of studying the approval process of school textbooks.

When studying the issue, based on international standards, challenges were again highlighted, both organizational and those related to the essence of the process. In particular, the selection system of the reviewers' subject group members, their low access to human rights trainings and the shortcomings of the complaints system created in the review process.
