Project objectives: To improve the situation of child's rights in the mountainous regions and juvenile penitentiary facilities; to facilitate state services and to introduce new services.

Project activities:
During the project the Public Defender's Center for Child’s Rights monitored juvenile penitentiary facilities; evaluated the compliance of protection of child’s rights with the standards defined by the law, the degree of child care and the problems related to the protection of child’s rights: situation of the rights to life, development, health and education in penitentiary facilities and mountainous regions; within the project the Center actively cooperated with the international and local non-governmental organizations; trainings were held for representatives of the Public Defender’s regional offices about the child’s rights; information brochures were issued.
