On January 24 , 2025, the Public Defender of Georgia submitted to the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe a communication on the execution of the judgements of the European Court of Human Rights relating to the cases of the Identoba Group.

The Public Defender's communication responds to the latest decision of the Committee of Ministers on the execution of the Identoba cases, the action plans submitted by the Georgian authorities, and assesses the general measures taken to implement the judgments. In particular, the following issues are discussed in the communication: risks related to the Georgian Law on Family Values and Protection of Minors, problems related to the exercise of freedom of assembly, progress of investigation of hate crimes, and data processing.
