Training on Sexual Harassment for Employees of Tegeta Holding

On July 22 and 26, 2024, employees of the Equality Department of the Public Defender’s Office of Georgia conducted training on sexual harassment issues for the employees of Tegeta Holding in Tbilisi and Batumi.

Representatives of the Equality Department focused on the nature of sexual harassment and the importance of an internal mechanism for the prevention of sexual harassment. The training participants received information about sexual harassment, its forms and identification indicators, as well as the elements can be used to prove sexual harassment.

The Public Defender’s Office welcomes the initiatives and willingness of the private companies to actively engage in the activities aimed at increasing knowledge on equality issues. The Public Defender considers educational activities and awareness-raising measures as the most important component in the process of ensuring equality, and in this regard, cooperates with various agencies and organizations.
