Training for Employees of Public Defender's Office on Communication with Minors

In August and September 2022, trainings on issues of communication with minors were held for the employees of the Public Defender’s Office within the framework of the UNICEF-supported project “Strengthening the Capacities of the Public Defender of Georgia”.

The trainings for the employees dealing with children were held in two stages, on August 4-5 and September 23-24, and were led by experts Ana Arganashvili and Ana Abashidze.

The meeting participants talked about the activities to be implemented within the framework of the authority of the Public Defender, including the aspects of communication with children with approaches adapted to them.

The mentioned activity serves to strengthen the work effeciency of the Office in terms of communication with children, which is essentially important for the protection of their rights and the introduction of systemic and comprehensive approaches adapted to them.

With the support of the United Nations Children's Fund and involvement of experts, it is planned to create an internal guide on aspects of communication with children.
