Within the framework of the events dedicated to the international Human Rights Day, Gvantsa Davitashvili, Head of the Department of Human Rights Education, met with students at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss and raise awareness of human rights education. The meeting was attended by the students of the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences of Tbilisi State University and the Technical University of Georgia. They particularly focused on the importance of human rights in the context of European integration.

The Public Defender’s representative discussed the Public Defender’s mandate, practice and challenges in the direction of human rights education. In addition, she emphasized the importance of human rights awareness in all areas of professional activity.
