On January 24 and 26, 2023, representatives of the Public Defender of Georgia, Lika Gvinjilia and Giorgi Kvirikashvili, met with students of Tbilisi public schools nos. 130 and 150 and talked about the importance of the right to education, its components and the practice of the Public Defender in relation to this right.

The conversation also touched on the importance of human rights education, approval of school textbooks and the study of the content of textbooks by the Office.

During the active discussion at the meetings, students showed interest in various aspects of the right to education and children's rights. At the same time, the conclusions made by the Public Defender as a result of the study of the content of school textbooks were analyzed in detail.

The meetings were held within the framework of the International Day of Education.
