On October 15, 2024, Deputy Public Defender of Georgia Irine Chikhladze participated in the annual meeting of the European Network of Equality Bodies (Equinet) in Brussels. The theme of the round table, in which Equinet members and heads of institutions participated, was: "Together for Equality: Standards for Equality Bodies".

The main partners of equality bodies at the national and international level discussed the experience gained as a result of the recommendations, effective negotiations and advocacy related to the standards of the past years; Efforts made for effective harmonization of directives at the national level were analyzed and priorities for the next two years were also set.

A general meeting of the European Network of Equality Bodies was held on October 16, where decisions were made on important governance issues, including the annual work plan, financial and activity reports.

The purpose of the meeting was also to promote dialogue between the equality bodies and the new leadership of the European Union.
