Statement of Public Defender's Office regarding Visiting Isako Devidze

Various media outlets are spreading information that Isako Devidze, who was detained at the protest rally on November 19, has not been visited by a representative of the Public Defender, which is disinformation!

The said prisoner was visited by a representative of the Public Defender on November 19, the very first day of his detention. Based on his statement, a relevant report was drawn up and sent to the Special Investigation Service for response.

As for the hunger strike, a call was received about the start of the hunger strike yesterday, and today a representative of the Public Defender visited the prisoner again.

We also emphasize that the prisoner did not request a meeting with the Public Defender in person.

The Public Defender's Office will continue to study the case and provide comprehensive information to stakeholders.
