Public Defender Echoes Adigeni Developments
The Public Defender of Georgia is following the confrontation and events developed on religious grounds in Adigeni on March 8.
Any type of violence and restriction of religious freedom guaranteed by the Constitution is unacceptable for the Public Defender.
The employee of the regional office of the Public Defender's Office communicated with the persons involved in the confrontation. At this stage, the situation is being studied and objective, factual circumstances are being established, after which, an appropriate response will be made within the framework of the Public Defender’s mandate.
