On November 24, 2023, Levan Ioseliani, Public Defender of Georgia, met with Giorgi Amilakhvari, Minister of Education and Science of Georgia.

The Public Defender informed the Minister of the activities of the Office in the field of education, spoke about the importance of raising awareness of human rights for the civil society and emphasized the role of the Public Defender in this direction, as well as the work of the Human Rights Education Department of the Public Defender’s Office.

The parties agreed on the need to consider the issue of human rights education in important state strategic documents and discussed the prospects of deepening and strengthening cooperation in the future.
