Public Defender and Members of Council of Religions Meet with Ecumenical Patriarch

On September 16, 2024, Public Defender of Georgia Levan Ioseliani and representatives of the Council of Religions of the Public Defender, in cooperation with the United Nations Association of Georgia, the Evangelical Alliance and the Georgian Parish of Constantinople, met with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.

The parties talked about the importance of a dialogue between Christian churches and measures to be implemented to strengthen tolerance in the country.

The visit was supported by the USAID Unity Through Diversity Program, which is being implemented by the United Nations Association of Georgia.
