On 12 December 2018, Public Defender Nino Lomjaria participated in the award ceremony annually organized by the embassies of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the French Republic in connection with the international Human Rights Day. Georgian Activists and non-governmental organizations working in the field of human rights were awarded at the event.

"By holding this ceremony, the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the French Republic express strong support to the civil sector of Georgia. I am involved in the commission that selects the human rights award recipients and I declare that you, today’s winners, are one of the bright points in the protection of human rights and represent a free space. By this award we honor your contribution," said the Public Defender of Georgia said at the award ceremony.
