The Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Church celebrates Christmas and Epiphany on January 6. The Public Defender of Georgia offers his congratulations to the Armenian people on these great holidays and wishes their families peace, prosperity and health.

The centuries-old good neighborly relations between Armenians and Georgians are exemplary and this precious legacy must be cherished by future generations as well. During the historical development, our nations and churches have often faced the same challenges, but they still managed to maintain their independence and identity. Today our main challenge is to fully realize equal rights. I wish our ethnic Armenian fellow citizens to live and develop in a fair, tolerant and equal environment.
