On July 17, 2018, Georgian Public Defender Nino Lomjaria met with the Georgian Diaspora within the framework of her official visit to Yerevan. Difficulties related to dual citizenship, preservation of the Georgian language and culture, as well as the need for Sunday schools were discussed at the meeting. The Public Defender promised representatives of the community to help within her mandate.

The Public Defender also met with Giorgi Saganelidze, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Armenia.
