I congratulate the part of the Georgian population celebrating Nowruz, a new day, on Nowruz Bayrami holiday and wish them happiness, joy, advancement and success.

Even though many regard Nowruz as an Islamic holiday, it is an ethnic, traditional holiday of the large part of eastern nations and lasts three days.

International Nowruz Day was proclaimed by the UN General Assembly in 2010 and the same year Georgia declared it as a public holiday.
