On November 21, 2024, Public Defender Levan Ioseliani participated in the session of the Council of Religions organized by the Tolerance Center of the Public Defender.

The presumable impact of the Georgian Law on Transparency of Foreign Influence on religious associations, the issues assessed by the Public Defender in the 2023 parliamentary report, including the construction of the Batumi Mosque and the regulation changed after the enactment of the Defence Code - regarding the conscription of conscripts into the national military service and the record relating to the confession in the electronic system of the mobilization reserve, were discussed at the meeting.

At the end of the discussion, the Council members presented their future plans and set priorities.
