First Deputy Public Defender Meets with Representative of Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
On September 19, 2025, the First Deputy Public Defender of Georgia, Tamar Gvaramadze, met with Andrew Nethercott, Deputy Head of the Central Asia and Eastern Neighborhood Department at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Tamar Gvaramadze introduced the British diplomat to the mandate, scope of authority and main areas of activity of the Public Defender's Office. The parties also discussed the current situation in the country in terms of human rights protection and the recent legislative changes that affect the protection of human rights.
