On November 24, 2023, Levan Ioseliani, Public Defender of Georgia, met with AmbassadorViorelMoșanu,Special Representativeof theOSCEChairperson-in-Office for theSouth Caucasus.

The Public Defender spoke about the mandate and priority areas of the Public Defender’s Office. Other topics of discussion were the situation of human rights and security challenges of people living in and along the occupied territories. The issue of the Russian Federation's responsibility for the killing of Tamaz Ginturi near the village of Kirbali was also emphasized.

The parties expressed readiness to deepen cooperation between the Public Defender’s Office and the OSCE representation in the South Caucasus.
