Public Defender Meets with Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights in Strasbourg

On June 27, 2024, as part of his official visit to Strasbourg, Levan Ioseliani, Public Defender of Georgia, met with Michael O'Faherty, Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights.

At the introductory meeting, the Public Defender congratulated the Commissioner on his election to the position and wished him success.

Levan Ioseliani also informed Michael O'Faherty of human rights situation in Georgia and spoke about the fruitful cooperation between the Public Defender’s Office and the Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights.

The newly elected Commissioner expressed his willingness to deepen this multi-year cooperation.
