Training for Employees of Public Defender's Office on Rights of Older Persons

On March 28-29, 2023, an awareness-raising training was held for the employees of the Public Defender’s Office.

At the training, experts Natia Partskhaladze and Amiran Dateshidze talked about the situation of older persons in Georgia and the challenges related to this process. The rights situation of older persons, legal regulation of care institutions and issues related to the monitoring methodology were discussed during the training. Experts reviewed local and international standards and practices. The training took place in the discussion mode, with active participation of the participants.

The event was carried out with the support of the USAID-PDO partnership programme of the grant agreement between the Public Defender’s Office and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
