On July 12, 2024, Levani Ioseliani, Public Defender of Georgia, and Tamar Gvaramadze, First Deputy Public Defender, met with Sean Dunne, director of the election observation mission of the International Republican Institute (IRI), and Lado Razmadze, a representative of the International Republican Institute.

At the meeting, the Public Defender spoke about the authority of the Office in connection with the elections, the practice of observing the election processes and studying cases.

The parties discussed the pre-election environment in the country and expressed readiness to deepen cooperation.
