Public Defender’s Office Extends Cooperation with Group of Specialists/Experts
On January 15, 2024, Public Defender Levan Ioselian signed an order, according to which, the Office extended cooperation with the group of specialists/experts created to assess the adequacy and timeliness of the medical services provided to accused/convicted Mikheil Saakashvili.
The group has been operating since November 2021. Members of the group periodically check the patient's condition, review medical documentation and publish conclusions. At this stage, the council of doctors has prepared 11 conclusions.
The members of the group of doctors/experts are: neurologist Tengiz Tsuladze, cardiologist Giorgi Katcharava, anesthesiologist-reanimatologist Giorgi Grigolia, hematologist, clinical oncologist, internist and palliative medicine specialist Aida Gozalova, endocrinologist Nino Zavrashvili, cardiologist-arrhythmologist Giorgi Papiashvili and therapist, internal diseases and hospital medical specialist Grigoli Khurtsidze.
