On October 31, 2024, Public Defender Levan Ioseliani visited Rustavi Penitentiary Establishment No. 6, viewed the facility's infrastructure and met with life-sentenced prisoners.

The Public Defender showed interest in the results and effects of the 2-year programme of preparation for the release of life-sentenced prisoners.

The programme has already been completed by a certain part of life-sentenced prisoners.

The Public Defender will continue to actively monitor the protection of the rights of the accused/convicted persons.
