On April 10, 2024, Irine Chikhladze, Deputy Public Defender of Georgia, and Ana Kvatchadze, acting Head of the Equality Department, met with members of a governmental delegation from the Republic of Armenia and discussed the mandate and functions of the Public Defender as an anti-discrimination mechanism, and reviewed examples of best practices related to discrimination in various fields.

Representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia arrived in Georgia to receive information about integration with the European Union and harmonization of national legislation with European Union regulations.
