On 19 July 2019, Public Defender Nino Lomjaria met with the Head of the Human Security Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland, HeidiGrau. Nino Lomjaria spoke about the Public Defender's mandate and the challenges faced by the Public Defender's Office.

She emphasized the challenges faced by people living in the occupied territories, such as: freedom of movement, problems of documentation, access to education and healthcare; she also talked about the ways of solving the problems.

The meeting was also attended by the Swiss Ambassador to Georgia, Patric Franzen, the Human Rights Adviser for the South Caucasus, Armin Rieser, and the Advisor to the Public Defender for Human Rights in the Conflict-Affected Regions, Meri Kochlamazashvili.
