Meeting with Civil Society Representatives from Myanmar

On November 17, Medea Turashvili, senior advisor to the Public Defender on human rights in the conflict-affected Regions, and Keti Akhobadze, legal expert of the rights of conflict-affected persons, met with civil society leaders from Myanmar. The aim of the meeting was to share the experience of working on unresolved conflicts with Myanmar’s civil society representatives and to inform them of the Public Defender's mandate and activities.

Representatives of NGOs and experts from Myanmar took part in the meeting. Myanmar, a multinational country, has itself experienced civil war and conflict for years.
