On November 28, the award ceremony for presentation of the Kato Mikeladze award designed for women’s rights defenders took place. This year, the award was received by head of the Women’s Fund “Taso” Marina Tabukashvili.

Deputy Public Defender Paata Beltadze congratulated the award recipient and other women that attended the ceremony with the International Women Human Rights Defenders Day and spoke about tremendous contribution that defenders of women’s rights are bringing to the cause of democratic development of the country; also, he stressed the role of Marina Tabukashvili in improvement of women’s rights and especially, in the issues of supporting women living in rural areas.
