Amicus Curiae Brief on Secrecy Standard in Elections

On November 13, 2024, the Public Defender of Georgia filed the opinion of the friend of the court (Amicus Curiae) with Tbilisi City Court’s Collegium of Administrative Cases relating to the case launched on the basis of the lawsuit of the Georgian Young Lawyers Association.

The purpose of the amicus curiae brief is to share with the court the international human rights standards relating to the standard of ensuring the secrecy of elections. In the opinion of the friend of the court, among other things, attention is focused on the judgments of the Constitutional Court of Georgia and the European Court of Human Rights.
